Every year, on the 5th day of the 5th month in Cat Felicity, there
is a festival called Mery's Day, or the day of the beloved.

Cat Felitizen's celebrate Mery's Day to thank and cherish Mery,
who was a cat from the human world, and was the first
representative of all cats on Earth to visit Cat Felicity.

She was an African Wildcat that lived in Egypt, and was the pet
of a simple woman and a man who helped carry, push and hoist
huge blocks of limestone to build the pyramids.

Mery loved her human parents, especially her human father, Madu
whose cramped, crippling hands were healed daily by petting her
fine fur.

One day, Mery was visited by a little lizard from a distant world
called Petupia. He invited Mery to go there and visit Cat Felicity,
so she could share her beautiful stories of Earth and human
companionship.

Thus, on the 5th day of the 5th month, Mery visited Cat Felicity.

That was 5000 years ago.
